Treasure (宝物 Takaramono) is a term that refers to anything that is held in great value, whether by a single individual or more. Often sought after by Treasure Hunters.
Description
As the term suggests, treasure refers to any high-valued items, typically gold and jewels. However, this term also exceeds to a variety of objects such as Magic items, specifically anything rare and difficult to obtain.[1] A handful of ancient civilisations and ruins are known to house note worthy treasures that are sealed away and protected by traps from any intruders attempting to steal it. These are either valued based on their power or how much profit they can exchanged for.[2]
Professions such as Treasure Hunters are those with the skills and expertise to attempt to obtain whatever they take interested in, no matter how dangerous the task may be, even if it means to steal it from someone or the remains of a sacred place.[3]
Certain Alchemists also seek out rare items they refer to as treasure as necessary materials as ingredients for their Alchemy.[4]
Some individuals will keep a horde of treasure containing cold and jewels compiled into a treasury, a place secured and guarded from anyone attempting to steal any treasure inside.[5] Some treasures are secretly hidden so securely isolated that the only possible way to find it is via a treasure map marking the location.[6]
