A Title is a name by which a Hero chooses to be known. Titles can be purchased from a title vendor (in Fable) or a town crier (in Fable II).
In Fable and The Lost Chapters
Titles may be purchased from a title vendor outside either the Hero's Guild or the Witchwood Arena. Most titles are available from the beginning of the game with more being unlocked for completing certain tasks.

In Fable II
Titles can be purchased from town criers in Bowerstone Market, Oakfield, Westcliff and Bloodstone. The majority of titles are available for purchase at the games beginning with a few more able to be unlocked later in the game. Certain actions allow corresponding titles to be acquired free of charge (see below).
