Quest Required The tomb can only be accessed during and after Castle Fairfax. |
Fairfax Tomb is an area located underneath Fairfax Castle, accessible through the library. It is infested with hobbes, balverines, and bandits which you must defeat in the Castle Fairfax quest. At the end of the tomb is a room in which the Potion of Transmogrification lies. You must decide here whether to change your gender or to leave it as it is. To leave the room will stop the potion from working. There is an exit to Bowerstone Cemetery out of this room too.
Along the way, there are many chests and portcullises which can be opened. In the final room, there are also a few chests to be opened.
Trivia
When you enter the dungeon, you are in a room, and at the other end is a gate with stairs going up. There is no known way of opening it. There is also a Flit Switch Obelisk in a room further along the tomb, but with no Flit Switch to activate it. Some people believed that there was a reverse for the Potion of Transmogrification on the other side of the gate.
