Chike is a Belter child whose family emigrated from Ganymede to Ilus IV.
Biography
Many desperate Belter families from Ganymede risked their lives after escaping when the domes collapsed in an incident connected with the protomolecule hybrid conspiracy. Some of those families managed to run a blockade through the ring gates aboard the Barbapiccola, including Chike's family.
Throughout the series
Chike is the first person in First Landing to exhibit the green eye infection, which Lucia Mazur treats.[1]
He lost his parents when a shockwave struck the settlement in the events triggered by activation of ancient protomolecule ruins.[2]
He was eventually adopted by Jacob and Felica Mazur.[3]
