The Obstacle Course is a minigame in Everhood. It is a movement-based race hosted by Vampire at the Cart Carnival. The player must maneuver Red on the overworld through a small obstacle course. If the player is able to achieve a time of less than 34.5 seconds, they will be rewarded with a slice of Cake.
Trivia
Under normal circumstances, Vampire's standard dialogue at the beginning of the minigame is "Get ready!" However, if the player ever fails to complete the Obstacle Course under 34.5 seconds and selects "Yes" when offered to retry the minigame, this forever alters Vampire's intro dialogue to randomize between either "Hi! Ho! Not that easy, heh?" or "Hi! Ho! You will never beat it, slowpoke." This altered dialogue continues to persist, even if the player obtains the Cake and even if the player saves and reloads the game.
