Rockers are a type of Blotworx in Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two. Mickey and Oswald first encounters a Rocker at Gulch Bridge.
Strategy
Rockers are the deadliest enemies in Epic Mickey 2. To defeat them, Mickey must Spin Attack the front of their "head", to reveal a button. Then, he has to jump onto the button, exposing the Spatter inside. Finally, Mickey has to paint or thin the Spatter to redeem or destroy the Rocker. The Rocker will utilise many attacks to stop Mickey from doing this. Firstly, the Rocker can shoot powerful missiles at Mickey, and the number of missiles it shoots at any time can vary. Secondly, it'll shoot fire out of the exhaust pipes on it's head, temporarily stunning Mickey for a few seconds. Finally, it can quickly drive away from Mickey, making it harder to close the distance.
The easiest way to circumvent these issues is to have Oswald use his electricity to stun the Rocker, allowing Mickey to defeat it. Other methods are waiting for the Rocker to temporarily "shut down" (this can happen after it uses it's missiles) or to use a variety of sketches. The Anvil Sketch will crush the Rocker's armour, the TV Sketch will expose the Spatter inside and the Watch Sketch can allow Mickey to press the button before the Rocker has time to use any of its attacks. It's not advised to use the Fairy Sketch as it provides no benefit other than stopping the Rocker from attacking.
Trivia
- The Rockers' designs were originally based off Herbie from the 1963 Disney movie of the same name.
- Their current design source is unknown, although the chassis' build does bare a striking resemblance to Mickey Mouse's car (albeit a different color).
- The Rockers are the only Blotworx to turn blue when they are befriended, similarly to Blotlings.
