Parce[1] is a minor character in Disney's feature film, Encanto. He is one of Antonio's various pets who formerly lived in the jungle and went to live with Antonio in his room. He is Antonio's main companion throughout the film.
Relationships
- Antonio Madrigal: Parce first met Antonio during his first time in the room. He carried Antonio on his back, prompting the others to be a bit shocked, and carried him all around the room. When Antonio lent his room to Bruno to use as a vision cave, he rode up on Parce and gave Bruno a stuffed jaguar "for the nerves", then rode away again.
- Agustín Madrigal: Parce appears to have some sort of unexplained trust for Antonio's uncle as he snuggled against him after taking Antonio on a ride throughout the room.
History
When Antonio went into his magical room for the first time, the first animal he made contact with was Parce, who ran up to him and flipped him onto his back. The duo proceeded to ride around the room and explore. When they returned, they were applauded and Parce snuggled against Agustín.
When Bruno decided he would look into the future to help save the miracle, he was in need of a big open space. Antonio, who learned everything from Bruno's rats, lent Bruno his room. While Bruno was preparing his vision circle, Antonio rode up on Parce and gave Bruno his stuffed jaguar, for his nerves. He then rode off again.
When Casita started to collapse, Parce was among the animals who escaped Antonio's room and ran from the house.

- In the English closed captions of Encanto, Parce is identified as a leopard. Although leopards and jaguars have similar appearances, they are two different species.
- "Parce" is a Colombian slang which translates roughly to "(loyal) friend, bro, dude" in English.
