The Blade is a 968tp laser sword gunpod. When focused on a target, it can deal a lot of damage, but it is generally short-range.
Tricks
There are a few tricks that can be done with the Blade: swinging it and extending it's length.
- Blade Swing: with an FRS Einhander, you can press the Manipulator button while the blade is active to "swing" the blade below and above the ship. This can be helpful to reach otherwise defenseless directions.
- Blade Extend: while holding the gunpod fire button, you can quickly perform a "fireball" (down, down-right, right) on the D-pad to temporarily extend the blade to much longer than normal. This consumes ammo rapidly, and can be done repeatedly to maintain the extended range, or combined with the Blade Swing to attack a large area of the screen very quickly.
