James Bye (born 23rd February 1984 in Basingstoke) is an English actor who portrayed Martin Fowler in EastEnders from December 2014 to February 2025. The role had previously been played by Jon Peyton Price from 1985 to 1996, and James Alexandrou from 1996 to 2007.
Aside from EastEnders, his first acting career was in 2006 in the drama series The Bill in the episode 401: Special Relationships appearing as Tom Burrows. His other television credits include Cemetery Junction, Redemption, The Great Train Robbery, and The Hooligan Factory.
He has been married to Victoria McCumisky since 4th April 2012 and they have three children.
On the 12th August 2022, it was announced he would be taking part in that years series of Strictly Come Dancing.
