OJ is a character from Mother 3. He is the leader of the band DCMC and plays saxophone. He first appears in Chapter 4 and once again in Chapter 8.
After Lucas defeats the Jealous Bass and drops down into Lucky's room, Lucas must play Stone-Sheet-Clippers with the DCMC, where OJ is his final opponent. OJ tells Lucas his play for the match, allowing Lucas to leave with Duster. Before the party leaves, OJ and the DCMC play a farewell song to Duster, where a flashback also shows the band walking in on the Club Titiboo guards trying to kick Duster out. The next flashback implies after witnessing that, they allowed Duster to join in as bass (though Duster didn't know how to play).
OJ later appears with the rest of the band in Chapter 8 for a concert and to beat up the last of the Porky Bots.

- OJ's full name is OJ Hagii.
- OJ is one the only characters in the Mother series to have an in-game voice and voice acting (the other being Lucas), saying "Ready? Set? Go!" in Chapter 4 and "One! Two! Three! C'mon!" in Chapter 8.
- In the fan translation, he is voiced by Reid "reidman" Young.
- In a patch giving Lucas his Super Smash Brother's voice actor for Chapter 4, this was changed. OJ is voiced by Karmageddon instead, who also created the patch.
