The Mouthwash is one of the later medicinal items in EarthBound Beginnings. It is bought in Snowman for $175, selling for $87. It is also given for free one-time by the old man after giving him the Dentures in Reindeer's Mislay Triangle, filling everybody's inventory with Mouthwash; his assistant sells it at a discounted price for $10.
The Mouthwash is generally used late in the game. It serves as an alternative to the Hospital and is useful in towns when the player gets the occasional cold.
