Eliza Bennett is a main actress on The CW's Dynasty, portraying the role of Amanda Carrington.
Biography
Early Life
Bennett was born and raised in Reading, Berkshire with her older brother and sister, and attended Leighton Park School.
Career
At the age of nine, Bennett landed her first role as Jemima in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London Palladium in 2002. She landed her first film role playing Princess Arabella in 2004's The Prince & Me. In 2005, Bennett landed the role of Tora in Nanny McPhee.
Bennett played Hayley in the TV movie Supernova (2005), Young Anne in Victims (2006), Emily in The Contractor, and television work as Nora in the Agatha Christie's Marple episode "By the Pricking of My Thumbs".
In 2006, Bennett played the role of Meggie Folchart in the film Inkheart, based on the novel by Cornelia Funke. In 2009, she went on to land the role of Susan in Julian Fellowes' film From Time to Time.
In 2010, Bennett played the role of Kate Anderson in Johannes Roberts' thriller film F, and appeared in Roadkill in 2011. In 2012, she portrayed the psychopathic character of Kayleigh in the thriller film Confine; a role for which she received a best supporting actress nomination at the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival, eventually receiving a distinctive achievement award, and also winning Best Actress Award for Confine at CYIFF 2013.
In 2015, Bennett played the role of Alex/Brittany in the film H8RZ and Agathe Von Trapp in The von Trapp Family: A Life of Music.
From 2016 to 2017, Bennett starred as Jules Thomas in Sweet/Vicious. In 2021, she began playing Amanda Carrington in The CW's Dynasty. Bennett recurred throughout the latter half of the show's fourth season before being upgraded to series regular for the show's fifth and final season.

Trivia
- Bennett met co-star Elizabeth Gillies (Fallon Carrington) for the first time in a coffee shop where Gillies approached Bennett after she landing the role.[1][2]
- In a December 2021 interview with Observer, Bennett revealed the following:[2]
- She wore fake eyelashes for her audition, which she normally doesn't do.
- She got the role of Amanda Carrington four days after she auditioned for it.
- She had to learn to comfortably walk in stilettos.
- Bennett is friends with Dynasty co-star Ashley Day (Colin McNaughton) and has advocated for his return to the series, if only to work with another onscreen.
- In December 2021, Bennett and Elizabeth Gillies (Fallon Carrington) recorded a duet of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", first posted on Instagram and later released on streaming.[3]
- Following Dynasty's conclusion, Bennett released an original song and music video in October 2022, "Visit Me In Georgia", which Gillies directed and edited.[4]
