In the Forest of the Seal, Caim and Leonard come across a garrison that employee conscripts as a primary force. In their efforts to liberate the base, Caim ended up slaughtering all who rose a weapon against him, a heartless act Leonard was appalled and disgusted by.
In the aftermath, Leonard found a boy still alive among the corpses. He attempted to save the child, but when Caim arrived, the boy summoned wraiths, calling Leonard a fool for trusting him. Caim swiftly kills the child, thus saving Leonard. However, because of this, the party had to make their escape on foot, since the Red Dragon was occupied by the new airborne enemies.
