Doruora

Doruora is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. It allows a Dragon Knight in their Dragonoid form to shoot a draconic aura beam strong enough to destroy an entire kingdom.

Description

It is a powerful beam unleashed from the hands of a Dragon Knight in their Dragonoid form by compressing their Draconic Aura with their magic power. It is said to be the most powerful ability of a Dragon Knight as it has the power to reduce a kingdom to ashes. However, due to its immense power, its usage is limited to how much MP the caster has.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light

Learned by Baran's Dragonoid form at level 50 and his son at level 20, it deals major spell damage to all enemies in battle, dependant on their attack power. It costs 120 MP for father and son to cast.

Dragon Quest of the Stars

Dragon Quest Tact

Learned by Dragonoid Baran at level 52, it deals major unreflectable spell damage to all enemies in range based on his ATK stat while occasionally greatly lowering their Self HP Healing Effect for 3 turns. It costs 162 MP to cast, with each upgrade reducing the MP needed to cast the spell.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai - A Hero's Bonds

The Baran version can be obtained if one get's the Dragonbone blade weapon and the Dai version from the Yellow dragon greatsword.

Etymology

Although the name appears to be derived of "Doragonic Aura" in Japanese, it is also the first spell to use the name "Doru", which is specific to Zam-type of spells.
