Trunks has appeared in eye drops commercials and Dragon Ball Z school supply commercials, which is a part of the Dragon Ball series good influence on education and is one of their reach outs.
In music, the song "Chīsa na Senshi~Goten to Trunks no Theme~" by Shin Oya focuses on both Trunks and Goten.[1]

Trivia
- Trunks' grandfather, Dr. Brief, made him a time machine toy that looks like the one Future Trunks arrived in. He also had a Goku doll.
- His unusual name comes from the running joke of his family members all being named after various undergarments, though these are downplayed in the English anime, and the word "trunks" can have several meanings, such as plural for tree trunk (interestingly enough, he uses an attack called Big Tree Cannon). The English dub of Dragon Ball Z has his name as Trunks Brief and Dragon Ball GT dub identifies him as Mr. Brief during his appearances as President of Capsule Corp.
- In Dragon Ball SD, Goku wonders if Bulma will name her child Fundoshi (after a type of loincloth).
- Trunks inherited Vegeta's prideful attitude and his low opinion of Goku, as seen when Goku arrives on Earth for his one-day revival pass, where he and Vegeta look upon the emotional scene of Goku reuniting with everyone, and even meeting Goten for the first time with total indifference. However, Trunks does respect Goku as a warrior after witnessing his Super Saiyan 3 transformation, and in Wrath of the Dragon, expresses genuine concern for Goku's well-being after he is crushed in between Hirudegarn's hands.
- In Bio-Broly, Trunks admits to having a "problem" with dogs.
- Trunks' hair whilst a Super Saiyan varies multiple times throughout the series, movies, and video games. In Dragon Ball Super his hair as a Super Saiyan resembles Gohan's super saiyan hair.
- Trunks is the only half/pure-blooded Saiyan who doesn't have jet-black hair that can go Super Saiyan.
- Trunks is the first child of Bulma to be voiced by Bulma's seiyū Hiromi Tsuru who voices Trunks as a baby, the second being his sister Bulla in both DBZ and GT (as well as video games).
- In Dragon Ball GT and video games, Trunks knows many techniques originally used by his alternate timeline counterpart (Burning Storm, God Breaker, etc.).
- Trunks' hobby is playing video games.[2]
- Trunks' favorite food is yakiniku.[2]
- Trunks' favorite vehicle is a sports air car.[2]
- Because Vegeta is the Saiyan prince, this technically makes Trunks a prince as well (he is even referred to as "Prince Trunks" at one point) but this is never mentioned in the Dragon Ball franchise.
- A major inconsistency throughout the franchise follows Trunks' hair color, often changing in a variety tone of purples, blues, and in his Super Saiyan Third Grade state, red (with his eyes being pink). For years left many fans confused, with some in attribute to the new design in Super, making up theories.
- This was due to Toriyama's oblivious intents. In an interview stated in Daizenshuu 1, Toriyama quoted "Yeah that's right, I don't do it consciously. When I'm applying the color, "It was more or less this color". However, with people that I've already drawn in color before. I generally don't go back and check, so sometimes I end up using different colors than I did before. (laughs)"[3]
