Shining Blow (シャイニングブロー) is a Rush Attack used by Future Trunks in his Super Saiyan form.
Overview
Future Trunks channels his fury into a single blow, striking through his opponent and impaling them through the gut with his arm. The attack is visually similar to Gohan's Quiet Rage, also consisting of a single mortal blow and causing the environment to temporarily turn dark.
Usage
In the manga version of the Prison Planet Saga, Future Trunks utilized a similar attack to beat Bojack in an alley.
Film Appearances
In Dragon Ball Z: Bojack Unbound, during the Intergalactic World Tournament, Super Saiyan Future Trunks used this technique to kill Full Power Kogu before he could eliminate him with his sword.
Video Game Appearances
In the Dragon Ball Z Collectible Card Game, it is named Deadly Impact.
In Legends, it is named Shining Blow where it is the Special Move for Super Saiyan Trunks (Teen)'s "DBL36-02S" card which was added to the game during the 3rd Anniversary Bojack Unbound event in 2021. The attack can be taught to Shallot after the card reaches Friendship Rank 2. The character illustration for Super Saiyan Trunks (Teen) (DBL36-02S) depicts Shining Blow as an Energy Punch.
