Chappil

Chappil (チャッピル, Chappiru) is a warrior from Universe 9 and a member of Team Universe 9. He is a metallic dragon-like alien who is nicknamed the "Iron Skin Battler" due to his metal skin.^[2]

Appearance

Chappil resembles a bipedal dragon with shiny metal scales. He appears to wear nothing, but a shirt decorated with puffy sleeves and a monster motif. Chappil's design has similarities to a humanoid dragon or a gargoyle.

Personality

He is very confident due to his defensive capabilities.

Universal Survival Saga

Early in the Tournament of Power, Chappil, alongside Sorrel and the Trio of Danger, surround Goku after he defeats Nink. Later on, he and Basil confront Goku, the former taking multiple blows without damage before launching fire at his opponent. His spotlight doesn't last long though, as Goku dodges the fire and soon knocks Chappil and Comfrey off the stage with a Dragon Blast. He is later erased when the rest of Team Universe 9 is eliminated. Chappil and the rest of Universe 9 are eventually revived when Android 17 uses the Super Dragon Balls to restore the universes erased in the tournament.

Power

Anime

Chappil is able to take base form Goku's punches without flinching, protected by his thick skin. However, he proves no match for Super Saiyan Goku, who knocks Chappil off the arena with a lunge and a ki blast.

Manga

He briefly battles Gohan early in the tournament. Frost knocks him off with a single kick.

• Iron Skin - Chappil's metallic skin allows him to withstand physical blows and remain unscathed.
• Fire Breath - Chappil spits a massive blast of explosive fire from his mouth.

• Chappil's name comes from Chervil or Chepil.
