Rook name

- Considering Rook can be any race and various backgrounds, it's most likely a pseudonym like Inquisitor or Warden than a name like Hawke. Timjer (talk) 08:34, 11 June 2024 (UTC)

Last name
A screenshot of the specialization skill tree was just posted, and it mentions a last name for Rook, which is "Thorne". Would this indicate a Fereldan/Marcher last name for a human, and it might be the first confirmed last name that we get. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.196.132.105 (talk • contribs)
- Sounds likely, yeah. Maybe for the Grey Warden faction background? It could also be a custom first name, though I agree that it sounds more like a last name. Evamitchelle (talk) 02:45, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
Faction Bonuses
MrMattyPlays did a recent video that has a glimpse of a few Faction Specialties (3:22-3:32). As might be expected, a Rook-member will gain Reputation more quickly with their particular faction in all cases. There is also an offensive and defensive component as well. It's not a full list, but four out of the six are shown -
GW - Increased damage vs. Darkspawn; Increased Base Defense & HT
VJ - Increased damage vs. Fade-Touched; Increased Critical & Weak-point damage
SD - Increased damage vs. Venatori; Class-specific Resource regeneration increased
LF - Increased damage vs. Mercenaries; Takedowns on foes slightly less effort
