Naji Yanagida is a freelance artist who was hired to illustrate the DoraTama series. He is also the Character designer for the series' Manga.
"After graduating from a vocational school, he joined an animation photography company and engaged in illustration production. After that, as a freelancer, he was in charge of card illustration production for smartphone games, character design, item design, light novel illustrations, effects, animation production, etc."[1]
