Diego the Hero is the 7th episode of Go, Diego, Go! from Season 2 as well as the debut of Alicia's Rescue Rope.

In production order, it's the 18th episode of Season 2.

Summary

While Diego is doing some training with Baby Jaguar, Alicia is taking some sick and hurt penguins to the Snowy Rescue Center. But when her boat gets stuck in the ice and the engine is freezing, Diego and Baby Jaguar set out to help Alicia rescue the penguins.

  • All the animals that appear in this episode had recently appeared after their debuts in Season 1, Baby Humpback in Diego and Baby Humpback to the Rescue, and Linda in Diego Saves Christmas, the maned wolves appeared after their debut in late season one in Diego's Wolf Pup Rescue, and Sammy's smaller appearance in Baby Jagaur to the Rescue. Sammy would get a larger role in the next episode, Sammy's Valentine.
  • This is the first episode where the animal end song is not featured, as the new song, "Rescuing Together", replaces it.
