Background
Around 2014 - 2015, rapper Ashnikko recorded a demo version of this song, titled "Bitch Boss", however the song was scrapped from her then-mixtape, which was also discarded. Ashnikko gave the song over to Doja Cat in 2019, where she confirmed during an interview that Ashnikko wrote the first verse and chorus of the song. This version recorded by Ashnikko was fully leaked online on January 13, 2025.
On December 14, 2019, Doja Cat posted pictures of herself at the music video set. The video was later released on January 23, 2020, and features previously unseen footage of the then-unreleased Birds of Prey, as well as shots of Doja Cat fighting off enemies and moving around a dance floor with Harley. Scenes featuring Doja were directed by Jack Bergert.
