"Trucks" is the sixth episode of Pixar's Cars on the Road. It premiered on September 8, 2022 on Disney+.
Synopsis
Mater bonds with fellow trucks at a rest stop, and they celebrate their solidarity through song.
Plot
McQueen and Mater continue their travels when the latter attempts to get the attention of a passing truck. When he fails to get a response, Mater admits that he wishes he was a "real" truck, to which McQueen says that he is already one. They stop by a gas station where McQueen goes in to get some things. The trucks filling up begin to chant to Mater as he gets brought into a large musical number about the importance and diversity of trucks. Afterwards, McQueen comes out, saying that he could not find anything worth buying. Mater, feeling better about himself, gets a tuneful honk from the trucks as a farewell and honks back in melodic response. When McQueen asks what that was about, Mater tells him that it was "a truck thing".
In the post credits scene, Lightning has the song stuck in his head, which shocks Mater.

Trivia
- This is the only episode that is devoid of any real plot and instead is more of a music video.
- The name of the truck stop is called Truckey's, a possible reference to the real world Buc-ee's. However, unlike Truckey's, Buc-ee's specifically does not allow 18 wheeler trucks to park at any of its locations. The name Truckey's is also a possible reference to the Stuckey's convenience store.
