Timothy Walter "Tim" Burton is an American film director, producer, animator, screenwriter, poet, and artist, known for directing gothic and dark fantasy films. He is best known for being the writer, producer, and creator of The Nightmare Before Christmas, the director of Beetlejuice, Batman, Edward Scissorhands, and Batman Returns, as well as the 2005 adaptation of Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the alien invasion sci-fi film Mars Attacks!
Burton has also worked with Disney on various occasions, starting his film career at the studio.

Trivia
- A macabre specialist, Burton was given the opportunity to work on an earlier Addam's Family film, but turned it down for another project. However, he would later go on to direct the 2022 Netflix series Wednesday.[1][2]
