Nico Minoru is a Marvel Comics character who appears in the Hulu series Runaways, played by Lyrica Okano. She is the daughter of Tina Minoru and is a powerful sorceress like her mother. She is tough, intelligent, and independent. Her magic only activates once her blood has been shed. When Nico finds out that her mother is a supervillainess, she joins the team of superhero fugitives known as the Runaways.

Powers and Abilities
- Dark Magic: Nico has the ability to cast magical spells by harnessing magical energies from the Dark Dimension, despite she has never had any training in how to use her powers. It appears that her magic is often connected to her emotions. Her powers are projected in the form of purple/black energy.
- Levitation: Nico is able to use this power to move through the air and simulate flight.
- Teleportation: Nico can teleport herself and others from one place to other using her powers.
- Summoning: Nico has the ability to conjure or materialize her staff.
- Shockwave Generation: Nico can use her power to send shockwaves through the ground to cause damage to her surroundings and disorient foes.
- Powers via Staff of One: Using the staff, Nico is able to cast spells through spoken incantations.
- Elemental Manipulation: Nico has the control over the four classic elements: fire, water, earth and air.
- Weather Manipulation: Nico can manipulate the weather.
- Force-Field: Nico can create a magic force shield to protect herself and others or deflect attacks.
- Telekinesis: Nico has the power to move, levitate, and even immobilize objects and people without touching them.
- Sleep Inducement: Nico can also put sleeping and catatonic spells on her enemies.

Role in the series
After accidentally discovering the existence and powers of the Staff of One, her mother instructs her on how to use it. Nico grows closer to Alex Wilder while the two investigate the mystery surrounding Amy's death, but Nico later rejects Alex when she learns Alex hid information from her. Later, Karolina Dean kisses Nico, revealing her feelings; and the two then begin a relationship.
In the series, the Staff of One is portrayed as a mystical artifact with connections to the Dark Dimension, acquired by Tina Minoru during her days at the magic academy while a pawn of Morgan le Fey. The weapon's need for blood is reinterpreted as being bonded to the Tina's DNA, which is why Tina and Nico can use it. The Staff retains its limitation of only being able to cast each "spell" once, although Nico can explore variations of this rule by casting spells with different command codes, such as initially starting a car with "Spark" and then using the command "Hotwire" to get it working again. Nico's use the staff has a detrimental effect of her being infected by the Dark Dimension’s energies coursing through her.
