Mr. Jenkins is a character featured in the 2020 Disney+ original film Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made.
Background
Mr. Jenkins serves as the counselor of Carverette Elementary School. Whenever Timmy is sent to his office, Jenkins advises him to learn from his mistakes he had in the past so he could become a better person, such as the case where he learns from his mistakes. Despite Timmy getting into trouble, Jenkins is capable of even helping him understand the value of adaptability just like when something goes wrong like what he did in the past.
Role in the film
Jenkins is first seen discussing with Timmy Failure who is having a difficult time in class, telling him about anything in his mind. When Timmy asks the counselor of looking for office space, the latter replies of what he needs it for. He also warns Timmy that whatever thoughts he shares in this room stays in the counselor's office, which is a safe space. Timmy continues to ask him that a lot of people rely on him like his mother and his partner Total.
Later, Timmy engages in a conversation with Mr. Jenkins where he asks him if he is a spy, which Timmy denies, telling him he is a detective who is in trouble by Corrina. He then asks Timmy if he has collaborated with his mother about this, which he replies to the Principal that he may be collaborating with Crispin, which the cojnselor tells him that it's not the best time to ask her about this. He then gives an offer to do a little undercover work for him in Mr. Crocus' class by doing the homework he assigned to him, which Timmy accepts.
After a trip to the Bonneville Dam, Mr. Jenkins engages in a private conversation with Patty about Timmy not improving his efforts in having good behavior at school. Later, he approaches Timmy at the playground where he tells him of why he missed his meeting, which Timmy finds it redundant, planning to act like a normal person. However, Jenkins denies, telling Timmy that he has a unique life, which he tells the counselor that he had no choice but to close down his agency just as he tells Timmy that he must learn from the mistakes he made and adapt to being a normal person in a professional manner. Jenkins shares his story with Timmy about what he had in the past and then learned how to adapt when something goes wrong, as he tells him to learn how to understand the value of adaptability just before leaving and telling Timmy to enjoy his cookie.
Furthermore, Mr. Jenkins conducts the Carverette Elementary School Band just run by Flo just before Timmy speaks in front of the crowd as Jenkins watches Timmy deliver his speech to give a big impact to change the world. After the presentation, Jenkins and the other attendees are all impressed by Timmy's speech, as everyone applauds him.
