Joe Books was an independent publisher of graphic novels, comics, and novels. It partnered with The Walt Disney Company, Lucasfilm, Marvel Worldwide, DreamWorks Animation, CBS Consumer Products, and NBC-Universal in making bestselling books from the largest media properties in the world, including Descendants, Frozen, Disney Princess, Star Wars, and Marvel Avengers.
On March 1, 2019, Joe Books Ltd. filed for section 49(1) bankruptcy with FTI Consulting Canada and is no longer active.[1]
