Jeffrey Duncan Jones is an American actor, voice actor, and comedian, who, for Disney, provided the voice of the Man inside the Magic Mirror in the DTV TV movie DTV Monster Hits and co-starred with Kathy Najimy in the video storyline portion of the Walt Disney World Tomorrowland attraction ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter as the character L.C. Clench. He has also portrayed Criswell in the 1994 Touchstone Pictures film Ed Wood.
His career started in Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and advanced to London and Broadway in productions, like Cloud 9, Henry V, Trelawny of the Wells, and The Elephant Man.
Moving to films, Jones is best known for his roles as Emperor Joseph II in Amadeus, Edward R. Rooney in Ferris Bueller's Day Off (starring Matthew Broderick), and Charles Deetz in Beetlejuice, which often capitalized on Jones' deadpan delivery of characters in unusual situations to comic effect. His other film credits include Howard the Duck, Who's Harry Crumb?, Valmont, The Hunt for Red October, Mom and Dad Save the World, The Crucible, The Devil's Advocate, Stuart Little, Sleepy Hollow, and Dr. Dolittle 2.
He also played A.W. Merrick in the Western series Deadwood, as well as in the 2019 television movie.
