Jared Joseph Leto is an American actor and musician. He is the front man of the band Thirty Seconds to Mars, a group he formed with his brother Shannon. He is recognized for his somewhat controversial portrayals of The Joker in Suicide Squad and Zack Snyder's Justice League, and Dr. Michael Morbius in Morbius. He has also acted in American Psycho, Requiem for a Dream, Chapter 27, Mr. Nobody, Dallas Buyers Club, Blade Runner 2049, and House of Gucci.
For Disney, he played Alistair Crump/The Hatbox Ghost in Haunted Mansion and Ares in Tron: Ares. His earlier acting roles included the ABC or Walt Disney Television productions. These included playing Dexter in Camp Wilder, Rick Aiken in The Torkelsons (also known as Almost Home), and Jordan Catalano in My So-Called Life. He also played Steve Prefontaine in the 1997 Hollywood Pictures film Prefontaine.
For 20th Century Fox, he played 2nd Lt. William Whyte in The Thin Red Line, Angel Face in Fight Club, and Bobby in a deleted scene from Phone Booth.
