Jack Bolton

Jack Bolton is a minor character in the High School Musical trilogy. He is the basketball coach at East High School and is the father of Troy Bolton.

High School Musical

The Coach does not initially approve of Troy and Gabriella's relationship, worrying that Gabriella might distract Troy from the basketball game. Eventually, though, he accepts her.

High School Musical 2

High School Musical 3: Senior Year

Jack watches as the Wildcats win the game in the opening song (Now or Never), and later watches his son graduate from East High.

High School Musical on Stage!

Jack's character also appears in the stage adaption of the first film, having a very similar role to the movie.

Trivia

  • It's revealed in the first film that Jack was student at East High (he graduated in 1984) and had also played on the school basketball team.
  • He went to the University of Albuquerque.
