Firebuds

Firebuds is an animated series that premiered on both Disney Jr. and Disney+ on September 21, 2022.[1]

Premise

The music-filled series follows a team of young kids, who are the children of first responders, and their talking vehicle partner sidekicks, as they embark on adventures together and learn what it truly means to be great heroes.

Trivia

  • 12 episodes of the series aired in early access on Disney+ on the same day as its premiere.
  • Firebuds is the first Disney Jr. show where one of the main characters have same gender parents (Violet with two moms and Axl with two dads). It is also the first Disney Jr. show to feature a non-binary character (in this case, Corey).
  • In many ways, the show is similar to the Disney•Pixar Cars franchise, except with more toon-like detailing and human coexistences.
