Dengar was a bounty hunter active from the early stages of the Clone Wars to the Era of the New Republic.
Background
Dengar was a human male Corellian bounty hunter active from the early stages of the Clone Wars to the Era of the New Republic. During his youth, Dengar established himself as a swoop racer on his homeworld of Corellia, and later as a gladiator, before becoming a member of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild.
Following an operation on Kamino, Dengar joined the aspiring hunter Boba Fett and his team of mercenaries, where he accompanied them on several missions.
Following the rise of the Galactic Empire, Dengar worked for the Hutt Clan as a mercenary for Jabba, and in 3 ABY, accepted a job from Darth Vader to capture Han Solo. Though he ultimately lost out on the bounty to Fett, he returned to Jabba’s Palace when Luke Skywalker arrived to rescue his friend.
Personality
Dengar is a crude, greedy, and brutish mercenary who cares mostly about money and self-preservation; often prioritizing profit and survival. Despite this he loves his girlfriend Manaroo. During the Clone Wars, while young he was cocky bounty hunter who work in Boba Fett's Krayt's Claw along with Bossk, Latts Razzi, C-21 Highsinger, Oked, and Asajj Ventress, which he flirted with the latter. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, he is one of the bounty hunters Vader hires to track the Millennium Falcon.
Abilities
- Cybernetic Enhancements: At somepoint near the end of the Clone Wars, Dengar received cyborg enhancements nearly much of his body after a near-fatal injury.
- Expert Fighter: Dengar is an excellent fighter, managing to fight Chewbacca at one point.
- Expert Marksman: Dengar is extremely skilled in utilizing blaster pistols and blaster rifles
- Explosives Expert: Dengar is extremely skilled in bombs, sticky-bombs, smoke-bombs, and fireworks.
- Expert Saboteur: Dengar is extremely skilled in sabotaging TIE fighters, buildings, or other such structures.
- Expert Tracker: As a bounty hunter, Dengar is skilled tracker.
- Expert Pilot: Dengar was a skilled pilot who owned an armed star-ship called the Punishing One that was capable on taking on other similar-sized ships. She also used the Punishing One to engage in star-fighter combat.
- Multilingual: Dengar is capable of fluently speaking Basic, Mando'a, Huttese, Rodese, Aqualish, Binary, and Shyriiwook.

- DLT-18 laser rifle (formerly): During the Clone Wars, Dengar carried a DL-18 laser rifle.
- DLT-19 heavy blaster rifle: By the Imperial Era, Dengar began using a DLT-19 as his primary weapon.
- DL-21 blaster pistol: Dengar carried a DL-21 as a secondary weapon.
- Gear: Dengar carries a lot of gear in his rugged armor, ranging from smoke grenedes, sticky explosives, a shock bolt, and fire blade.
- Punishing One: Dengar pilots a modified JumpMaster 5000 scout ship called the Punishing One.

Dengar appeared in a few episodes of the Clone Wars.
LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures
Dengar appeared as a secondary antagonist in LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures. He works for the Hutt crime lord Graballa, who is obsessed with finding the protagonist Rowan Freemaker.

Dengar appears in several of the Marvel comics like Target Vader series. He joined Beilert Valance's crew to destroy Darth Vader but Dengar revealed he was hired by Vader to sabotage the effort to find the Hidden Hand syndicate that was supplying the Rebel Alliances.
Dengar also appears in the comic the Bounty Hunters.
Dengar appered several times in the Aftermath trilogy where he joined Jas Emari along with several other bounty hunters Jeeta and Embo. As a result of their actions during the Battle of Jakku, the crew won recognition from the New Republic.
Trivia
- Dengar is different in new Canon than Legends
- He was a swoop racer from Corellia and suffered severe injuries in a race against Han Solo, which left him scarred and cybernetically enhanced by the Empire. This also lead to having a huge grudge against Han.
- He was one of Boba Fett's biggest rivals while in Canon he use to work with him on several jobs. Also in Legends he later became an ally of Boba Fett, even helping rescue him after his escape from the Sarlacc.
- In Legends he retired from bounty hunting and started a life with his girlfriend Manaroo.
- Before the cancellation of the Clone Wars, Dengar was set to appear in a unfinished bounty hunter arc. The arc had included the standoff with Boba Fett and Cad Bane.
- In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, a bounty hunter called Rothgar Deng is said to be rumored to be Dengar, being from a similar homeworld and being cyborgs.
