Dae is a character who appears in Zombies: The Re-Animated Series. She is a quirky and adorkable witch who adds a touch of magic to the already eclectic group.
Background
Dae is a very shy and anxious witch who has fairly little confidence in herself and at times prefers to keep to herself. Whenever someone praises her or tries to get her to open up, she tries to slip away followed by awkward humour. She has a purple armadillo named Bartleby and works at the local curse shop in Zombietown with her aunt and legal guardian, Ashley.
Appearances
Zombies: The Re-Animated Series
Dae first appears in "Training Dae", attending her first day at Seabrook High School with her armadillo, Bartleby. Addison tries to help her feel welcome, but Dae awkwardly prefers to be left alone. Despite her efforts to hide, Addison keeps finding, determined to help her feel welcome and make friends. Until she learns she has to let Dae to find her own friends and status in a different way.
By "Last Fan Standing", Dae and Bree have become friends and are both Wynter and A-Spen's biggest fans.
Chibi Tiny Tales
Dae first appears in a crossover short, "Witches Night Out". She hangs out with Luz (The Owl House) and Helen (Kiff).
Chibiverse
Dae makes a brief appearance in "The Perfect Gift". She is seen mixing potions with Eda the Owl Lady.
Trivia
- According to early designs made by Phllip Light, Dae was originally going to be a Vampire Cheerleader. She went through a number of designs, combining a vampire aesthetic with casual cheerleader/athletic wear, and as hip-hop/street style aesthetic, which was close to the final design.[1][2]
- Dae gets a ten per cent employee discount working at the curse shop.
