Cornelius Crane "Chevy" Chase is an American comedian, actor, and writer. He is best known for several film roles, such as Clark Griswold in five National Lampoon's Vacation franchise films, as well as playing Pierce Hawthorne in the NBC sitcom Community.
For Disney, he played Jack Sturgess in the 1995 comedy film Man of the House and appeared in the Monster Sound Show at Disney MGM Studios. For ABC he played Stan Harris in Brothers & Sisters. For 20th Century Fox, he played Max Fiedler in Modern Problems. He also voiced Cho-Cho in the ABC Family released The Karate Dog.

- Chase was considered for the role of Wayne Szalinski in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
- He was considered to voice Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story, along with Billy Crystal, Bill Murray, Jim Carrey, Bruce Willis, and Phil Hartman.[1] He was convinced not to take the role by his agent who thought that it would ruin his career. When the film turned out to be a success, Chase almost fired him.
- He was also considered for the role of Eddie Valiant in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but he turned it down as he wasn't interested in it.
- Chase, along with Whoopi Goldberg, Kevin Smith, Bill Hader, William H. Macy, Jon Stewart, Judi Dench, John Krasinski, and Ian McKellen have worked on the American version of The Magic Roundabout, a film in the US version called Doogal (2006).
- In the British version, Bill Nighy, Tom Baker, Lee Evans, Joanna Lumley, McKellen, Ray Winstone, and Jim Broadbent worked on The Magic Roundabout (2005).
- He was considered for the role of Inspector Gadget in the Inspector Gadget film, along with Brendan Fraser, Kevin Kline, Steve Carell, and Steve Martin.
