Camp Walden is the summer camp that Annie James and Hallie Parker attended in the 1998 remake of the original 1961 film The Parent Trap.
History
Like Camp Inch in the original film, Camp Walden is shown to be a girls’ camp. This comes as a surprise to one camper, who thought it was a boys’ camp; he is seen trying to call his mother and explain the situation to her (although he is later seen with a few of the girls and telling them he'll see them next year).
Another similarity between Camp Inch and Camp Walden is that the latter also has an “Isolation Cabin”. (Although the one at Camp Inch was called the “Serendipity Cabin” by the counselors, the one at Camp Walden isn’t given a nickname.) After the counselors, Marva Kulp Sr and Marva Kulp Jr (who are nicknamed “Marvas” by the other girls), fall into Hallie’s trap by accident, Marva Sr. tells her and Annie to pack their bags.
When they get to the Isolation Cabin, Marva Sr. tells the rest of the campers that they can go back to their activities; they immediately break into cheers while turning and heading back to camp. After turning to Annie and Hallie, Marva Sr. says, “You two...the Isolation Cabin.” Finally, Marva Jr. makes a series of elaborate pointing motions at it.
However, unlike in the original film, Camp Walden does not have a dance with the boys’ camp.
