Alaqua Cox is a deaf Native-American actress. For Disney, she portrayed Maya Lopez/Echo in the 2021 Marvel Cinematic Universe TV series Hawkeye and as the protagonist in the 2024 TV series of the same name.
Cox was born and raised in the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin and attended the Wisconsin School for the Deaf, where she played on the girls' basketball team from 2014 to 2015 and on the volleyball team. Her acting debut came with the release of Hawkeye.
