• January 1 - Assuming no copyright extension (unless change is necessary by law), works (books, films, etc) published in 1930 will enter the public domain after this date in the United States, later than most countries and regions. This includes the first appearances of Clarabelle Cow, an unnamed Pluto, and the first serialized stories of the Floyd Gottfredson Mickey Mouse comic strip.
• March - The Walt Disney Company is set to move production of 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, 20th Television and FX Networks productions from the Fox Studio Lot in Century City to its headquarters in Burbank, effectively ending the seven year lease of using the Fox Studio Lot to avoid production interruptions.^[6][7]
