Durante

Durante is a minor character in Dishonored 2. He was a member of Howlers Gang led by Paolo. His corpse can be found in the cell of basement in the Overseers Outpost, during the Dust District mission.

Biography

He was tasked by Paolo to give food to Aramis Stilton in his manor, and was able to bypass the lock installed there. Paolo gave him the code of the lock combination which was given to Paolo by Duke Luca Abele. Other duties included paying coin to people in the Mining Company, to ensure the safety of his friends, Paco and Bill. During the course of his endeavors, he was caught by the Overseers and taken to their Outpost and though he didn't reveal anything to them, he died. Durante admitted to the Overseeres that he entered Stilton Manor on some occasions. He also told the Oveerseers that Duke was the one himself who had Paolo send food to Aramis but he told them that Paolo had a debauchery at all hours and acts of certain witchcraft that even their sacred music cannot dispel which worried the Oveerseers. After his death, Paolo tasked another man named Bernard to bring food to Aramis. Durante's stuff and items were brought to Overseer Liam Byrne for inspection.

Dishonored 2

When Corvo Attano or Emily Kaldwin goes to Dust District, they can hear two civilians talking about Durante and his ability to open the locks of Stilton Manor made by Kirin Jindosh. Paolo suspects Durante may have revealed the information to the Overseers. When the protagonist goes to the Overseer Outpost, they can find Durante's corpse in the basement cell with rats in it. Vice Overseer Byrne orders the Overseers to remove his body, with Overseer Tennus being tasked with the job.

• Durante's name can be found on these notes Our Two Cuckoos, Here's the Payment, Detainee Durante and Durante's Room.
• Durante's body can only be found in High Chaos, in Low Chaos his body is already removed by Overseer Tennus.
• Despite Paolo's fears, Durante was loyal to Paolo and never revealed anything to the Overseers about the Howlers.
• Durante was also friends with a woman name Modotti.
