Veldime is the name of the planet/world that is the setting of Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories and its remake, Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. It was once a human world, but it is in the process of transforming into a Netherworld due to the curse of Overlord Zenon.
Rozalin calls it "the land of Veldime" when referencing where her mansion is located.
Known locations in Veldime
- Holt Village. Home of Adell and his family, which acts as the hub for the game. The demons that live there have managed to keep their sanity following their transformation from Zenon's curse and continue their lives as normal. Those that lost their minds from the curse stalk the fields around the village, fighting amongst themselves and preying on anyone who attempts to pass through.
- Rozalin's mansion. An ornate stone manor hidden away from prying eyes, where Rozalin was kept by Zenon for most of her life. Was destroyed during Fubuki's attack and left in ruins, which is how it is found by the player in chapter 2
- Murderer's Vault. A great poisonous swamp of tornn trees infested with zombie and the hunting ground of the frog-like Aqua Demons who are said to go as 100 in levels
- Dallos River. A long mountainous region with a rapid flowing river through it where wild beasts, such a Felynns roam, as well as beast hunters who are drawn in an attempt to tame them
- Cavern of Evil. A deep cave below the Dallos River, in which are hidden ancient of unknown (or simply uncared about) origins. Dangerous monsters dwell in these depths, with a Rifle Demon having claimed it as its territory and hunting grounds
- Battle Area. A colosseum constructs upon the orders of Overlord Zenon to hold fighting tournament meant to lure the party, as well as any other rebellious souls into Zenon's trap. While intended as a trap, no expense appears to have been spared on the location with a fighting platform sturdy enough to handle the vicious battles of demons and stands high enough to keep spectators out of the splash zone of the fights while still giving a good view of the action.
- Colosseum depths. The Battle Area was build upon an old ruin of sorts, likely scavenged for building materials to construct the colosseum
- Alche City. A large abandoned city that was once home to a thriving community of alchemists, until they exploring the darker sides of alchemy, resulting in the disappearance of the cities population
- Carcassed Lands. A blasted battlefield that was once a city build around a great tree
- Shinra Tower. A tall stone tower managed by sages and used to grow secret herbs and spices used in powerful remedies. The tower was originally built by the people of Alche City so that the people could go meet God, but failed to reach him and left due to the tower having too many steps making it a hassle to inhabit
- Zenon's Castle. A tower built by Overlord Zenon in the depths of a desert to act as his base of operations. A twisting mess of absurd construction, it houses a horde of high level monsters used to defend Zenon's private chambers
- Snow Clan Village. A secret village of Ninjas hidden in a snowy region, which was destroyed by Overlord Zenon when he came to collect Rozalin who had been born into the clan. It is not seen in Disgaea 2, only mentioned; it appears in Disgaea RPG as part of some of the winter holiday events
