Charm is one of the Status Ailments that can be inflicted on characters. It was introduced in Disgaea 5.
Description
It's represented by pink hearts above the character's head. Units affected by it can't be controlled and will attack their own teammates(or do nothing if there's none). In Disgaea 6, Charmed units with Evilities that affect allies/enemies will instead affect the opposing team. Additionally, Evilities that depend on nearby allies will also count Charmed enemies.
In Disgaea 5, Charm only lasts 1 turn and a unit can't inflict it on their teammates.
Specialists
Three Specialists deal with the Charm ailment:
- Having a Pastor on any equipment increases a character's resistance to the Charm status by 1% per level.
- Having a Charmer on any equipment gives a character's normal attacks a chance to inflict Charm by 1% per level.
- Having a Love Therapist on any equipment gives all of a character's attacks a 25% chance to inflict Charm.
