Karyna appears in the first act of Diablo III.
She has the gift of foresight, but also a knack for getting into trouble.[1]
Biography
In 1285, Karyna was in the highlands near Wortham. She saw members of the Coven dragging a man to Leoric's manor. After this, she stole a staff from a khazra shaman, which she left in her cart. The khazra went mad, and chased her into the Caverns of Araneae. There, she was ensared by Queen Araneae.
The Nephalem found Karyna encased in webbing. They were able to free her from the webs, and slew Aranae herself. They led Karyna out of the caves, and asked about a prisoner of the Coven. Karyna told them of the man she'd seen earlier, and the staff she'd stolen.[1]
In-game
Karyna appears in the "Trailing the Coven" quest. Players encounter her in the Caverns of Aranae.

Karyna was originally supposed to know Myriam Jahzia, but these lines of dialogue were removed from the game when Jahzia was added.[2] The quest journal of the Monk refers to Karyna having "the gift of foresight";[1] perhaps a holdover from her original conception.
