Gabhidon

"We will not be imprisoned in the rotten remnants of Valostre. You will obey."

- Gabhidon to Merraid, after she pleaded for leniency in her torment.(src)

Gabhidon is a Nephalem who swore allegiance to Sargoth. He was sealed after his master's defeat.

Biography

"Sargoth's chosen will not spill forth from a chip in the stone. Unbar the way. Fully."

- Gabhidon(src)

Gabhidon was sealed away after his master was defeated. Over the years, he bid his time for an opportunity to free himself, along with Sargoth's chosen. An opportunity came in the form of the vulnerable mind of a young apprentice scholar, who was visiting Bilefen along with her master. From then, he plagued her with nightmares making her unable to sleep for days. As she neared her breaking point, he promised her relief if she would break the wards around the entrance to the temple's library.[1]

The young scholar enlisted the help of an adventurer to get Greatswords of Temple Guardians, which could be used as keys to the wards. Unfortunately, only one sword was viable while the seal needed two swords to open. The crack was enough for Gabhidon to escape, but not the chosen one of Sargoth. In anger, he tormented his thrall on her partial failure. The adventurer timely returned and defeated Gabhidon. Before he died, Gabhidon promised his thrall that she would never be free of her torment until the chosen are released.[1]
