History
The January 22, 2025 update added a checkbox to salvage all Set Items in the player's inventory.
Diablo III
From a gameplay standpoint, Haedrig Eamon is the only blacksmith of note in Diablo III. He is obtained in the game's first act, and remains at the player's side throughout the game.
Diablo IV
Blacksmiths return in Diablo IV, being found on towns nearly every town. Similarly to Diablo III, blacksmiths can repair and upgrade equipment, but cannot craft gear.
They are also able to well salvage unwanted gear into raw materials; players get different materials depending on the rarity of the equipment salvaged. Players can now mark items as "junk", and have an option at blacksmiths to salvage all junk items. There is also a "salvage all items" option, which will automatically target all types of gear up to rare; Legendary and Unique Items won't be included in this option.
