Bellon is one of the central NPCs and the final boss in Diablo Immortal Elite Quest, Vowed in Blood.
In his human life, he was a lord husband[1] to his wife Cathrien. He had embarked on a bounty issued by Edelard who also gifted him protective sigils as a send-off. When he arrived to the area to which he was assigned, he found the sigils turned out fraudulent and was assaulted by Ravenous Thralls. Mariki found and successfully resurrected him using the ritual, and insisted he join her order, to his reluctance. After she let him test his strength, he relented but requested to see his wife, which she granted but ordered to do quickly. After they arrived to his home, Bellon, enraged by the fraudulent sigils and Edelard's plan to sabotage him, killed his wife, confronted and eventually murdered Edelard. Despite Mariki's efforts to mitigate, he succumbed and transformed into an abdomination, prompting her to execute him.
Mariki has thought she slew him, but it turns out he has been raising thralls. According to her, he has been a thrall for centuries.[2]Bellon briefly appears to The Shard-seeker after he is summoned by dark-robed missionaries and flies off. After Mariki meets the Shard-seeker and proposes the cenotaphs to destroy his keepsake in her chapter's chapterhouse, Bellon breaks down the entrance she has sealed. She holds him off while the main character takes the keepsake and attempts destruction, only to relieve a memory of his. By the time they return, she has been trapping Bellon in a shield as the two figure out he is shielding his keepsake, unwilling to let the curse go. Bellon overpowers her, and they fight, during which they exchange bitter words and Mariki apologizes. She later turns into an abomination and binds him, ordering his keepsake to be destroyed. When it is, he vanishes.
