Zulmak, Instrument of Torment was a Hive warrior who served in The Hidden Swarm.
Biography
After the death of Oryx and his son Crota, the Hidden Swarm seeked a new champion. Zulmak would emerge as the victor of the Pit and eventually a contender to the Osmium Court. Hashladûn, Besurith, Kinox, and Voshir would view his ascension as a threat to their scheme. Zulmak would be killed by Azavath while her body was possessed by Akrazul, in a total violation of the Sword Logic; however, his essence was used by the Daughters of Crota when the Lunar Pyramid was uncovered by Eris Morn. He was made into a hybrid of Hive infused with Nightmare energy and the remaining daughters would use a ritual to empower him. Zulmak was defeated when Eris Morn tasked the Guardian investigating activity beneath the Scarlet Keep.
