Ether

Ether is a white, gaseous compound that is relied upon heavily by the Eliksni. Currently, the substance can only be produced by Servitors, which cements their coveted place within the species after unlimited Ether supply from the home planet of Riis became a finite resource following the Whirlwind and the Long Drift.

Role in Eliksni society

Ether is the gaseous liquid that the Fallen need for survival otherwise they will die. Ether is created by Servitors and the Fallen inhale the Ether; and then the Fallen will exhale Ether. Ether is so important and intertwined into their culture that the Kells of Eliksni Houses cannot distribute Ether equally. Captains get more Ether and hoard it all for themselves as they are more important, while lower ranks like Dregs get the bear minimum to survive. The main way Houses get the majority of their Ether is from their Prime Servitor that protects their House. It is also used as a hormonal compound

Dark Ether

Dark Ether turns Eliksni into Scorn. It also able to cause a Servitor to malfunction due to the Ether polarity being different.
