Further information: The Sword in the Stone
After being orphaned at a young age, Arthur Pendragon was adopted and raised by Sir Ector and as the younger, adoptive brother of Sir Kay. After meeting the wizard Merlin and owl Archimedes, Arthur began training under his new mentor by undergoing various lessons such as putting brain before brawn.
Once Madam Mim had been defeated and Excalibur was pulled from the stone by Arthur, the latter became known as King Arthur of England.
Return to the Isle of the Lost: A Descendants Novel
Years after his ascension to the throne, Arthur fathered a son whom he named Artie. After Camelot had been united with Auradon, Arthur made it so it would remain in the Middle Ages with technology not being used. After Madam Mim returned to Camelot to enact her revenge, she became her dragon form, the residents of Camelot claimed that a dragon had been sighted with it being mistaken for Maleficent.
Travelling
As it is in the Middle Ages, the roads are not built to handle wheels of more advanced vehicles and is instead recommended to travel by carriage.
Trivia
- Camelot and its characters all come from the legend of which a soon-to-be King Arthur pulls Excalibur from the stone to become King of England.
- Despite Morgana le Fay being a known rival of Merlin, she does not appear in The Sword in the Stone and is instead replaced by Madam Mim, it being unknown if Camelot was Morgana's home prior to being sentenced to the Isle of the Lost.
