Kaz was the husband of Lisbeth and the father of Dirk, Sholto and Rye. He was killed during a skimmer attack while on the Wall during sunset, when Rye was very young.^[1]

History

Kaz was Lisbeth's husband. He had three sons with her. While he was on work on the Wall during sunset, skimmers started attacked and he was killed. Dirk took over the leading role in the family after his father's passing.^[1]

Abilities

While he was alive, Kaz had worked on Southwall, helping strengthening and thickening it. Kaz had been considered the leading role in their family then. When he died, the oldest son, Dirk took over the leading role in the family. Kaz was presumably a natural leader, and brave, strong and good-natured, qualities that his son Dirk also happens to possess.^[1]

Trivia

• Kaz is one of only two fathers of main characters who are known to be dead in the Roddaverse books, the other being Rowan of Rin's father, Sefton. Barda's father may also be dead, as we never hear of him and only hear of his mother, Min, but this is never confirmed.
