BotinStatusBiographyRelationshipsMedia

Botin, Mother of the Earth and Goddess of Craftsmanship (『大地と匠の母神』ボティン ()) is one of the Eleven Founding Gods of Lambda. She chose Hillwillow as her champion. She got sealed by the Demon King Guduranis before the end of the war. That was before the conflict takes place between Alda and Vida, so she had no opportunity to decide which side she would join.[1][2]

Appearance

Botin has the appearance of a woman with tanned/dark skin whose image is represented in three different ways: the first as a strong woman with dark skin corresponding to her divinity as the artisans' goddess, the second as a chubby middle age woman representing her charge as the mother goddess and finally as a beautiful dwarf woman as her role as the dwarf progenitor along Zantark.[3][4]

Personality

Botin has a strong but kind personality with those she considers dear to her, being comprehensive with them but firm in her opinions, if she believes that they do, is wrong, or if she doesn't agree with their actions or thoughts. Nevertheless, that doesn't mean that she becomes hostile to those that think differently than her instead she thinks that is better to involve herself with them in order to see that they don't go astray or do bad things; the expectation to this rule is the ones like that attacks and discriminate others just based in her own judgment.[5]

Because of the nature of the mother goddess, Botin feels a deep affection for those she considers her children and cares for the children of others. For the same reason, she felt unable to support the actions of those that commit mass murder against the innocent.[5]

Background

Birth and Creation of Lambda

Botin and her siblings were born from the corpses of the vast black god Diachmell, and the vast white god Arazan, after they defeated each other while fighting in the void between the worlds. Upon awakening, she and the other 10 great gods born from the black and white gods' corpses recognized themselves as brothers and sisters and decided to create the world that would come to be called Lambda. During this time, Botin at the same way that her siblings contribute actively to the creation and maintenance of the new world, using her mana to create familiar spirits that with time evolved and become her subordinate gods, like Borgadon.

Gods Age

After having completed the world, and nature and having created servants and subordinate gods that would help preserve their creation, Botin and the rest of the gods started to create life in the world. This way, during the creation of the humans, Botin contributed to the creation of the dark-skinned humans, who inhabited Lambda during its origins.[6] Some time later, as Peria and Shizarion created the Elves, Botin and Zantark also mated as a result she gave born to the Dwarves who came to become one of the 3 original races of the world.[3]

This way and during and unknown amount of time Botin and the other great gods governed Lambda and the races that they created, educating and guiding them in hopes that someday their creations would stand in equal ground with them. During this time known as the God's Age Botin instructed her believers from her temples where she taught them about all kind of craftsmanship techniques and the artisan way of life.

War Against the Demon King

One day, after a long time of peace where the races and the god developed the world, from beyond the void between worlds Guduranis, the Demon King of another world, and his army advanced over Lambda with the intention of eradicate all the native life and transform the world in a paradise for themselves; so Botin along the other Great Gods and their subordinates gods stood to defend their homeland along the races they created, forming and army and starting a long war against the forces of Guduranis. Nevertheless, the mana of the Demon King Army started to corrupt the world and changed its propieties, making more and more dificult for the God exist in the surface of Lambda without creting a Divine Realm, preventing them to exert their powers freely. Also, as their world was peaceful, the inhabitants were inferior in fightin power compared to the belicius monsters created by the Evil Gods and even the implementation of the Status System by Ricklent wasn't enough to change the tides of the battle.

Meanwhile, the war progressed Botin support the army by creating orichalcum golems, armor, and weapons, as she was not a god of war her divinity was best suited to the creation of arms and armor to improve the fighting abilities of the warriors. however, even so, she also led the armies in time of need and participated in the sealing of Evil Gods. Nevertheless, the enemies forces keep advancing and the defending army of Lambda lost the continent where Guduranis and his army descended along with the lifes of the Great Gods Ganpaplio, Zerno and Marduke whose souls were broken by the unique power of the Demon King. After losing three of their brothers, Botin along the other Great Gods started to feel desperation and among the many proposals and ideas of how to change the tides of the war, Zuruwan, the God of the Space and Creation, proposed the summoning of "transgressor" that later would be known as the god's champions, so they could help them to save their world.
