History
On a hot summer night, a freak power outage sparked a gang war. It soon escalated, and roving bands of looters prowled the streets. Many stores were plundered and houses burned, and emergency services were stretched thin. Emergency doctor Jean Hawkins was one of many victims.
Even after the Big Bang three years later, the riots were still considered Dakota's darkest hour.
