The Big Bang was a chemical explosion in the docks of Dakota that forever changed the city. In its wake, hundred of "Bang Babies", metahumans with varying powers and abilities, roamed the streets.
What was originally to be a showdown between all major gangs of the city became a disaster after the police arrived. A stray tear gas grenade hit vats of the mysterious mutagenic chemical Quantum Vapor, which filled the docks and surrounding area with a thick purple smoke. The next morning, many woke up distinctively altered, and most returned to their life of crime, using their newfound powers in their favor. As the name suggests, the DCAU Wiki is a Wiki dedicated to the DC Animated Universe. It provides extensive coverage of everything pertaining to the line of DC-based shows, which started with Batman: TAS in 1992 and concluded with Justice League Unlimited in 2006.
